This Returns Policy forms part of the Darksidetunings' Terms and Conditions, and so words defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in this Policy, unless the context indicates otherwise. Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit your statutory rights in any way. This Returns Policy applies to products bought from Darksidetuning shopping site itself.
Dead On Arrival
In the highly unlikely event of a you receiving a product that is 'dead on arrival', meaning it has a major mechanical or design flaw that completely prevents the product from functioning in its intended designed capacity, you can return the product provided:
- it is unused, with the original labels and stickers still attached;
- it is not missing any accessories or parts;
- you log a return on the Website within 3 (three) days of delivery to you or collection by you of the product;
- the product has not been tampered with;
On receiving your 'Dead On Arrival' return submission, Darksidetuning will arrange within 3 (three) days to pick up the product via courier from you at no charge
Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will within 10 (ten) days of the returned product reaching us and passing inspection -
- replace the product that was deemed 'dead on arrival' at inspection with an exact new replacement provided we have stock of the exact product; or
- credit your account with the purchase price of the product (or refund you if that is your preference).
If you, so choose to have us ship you a replacement for the acknowledged and inspected 'dead on arrival' product you returned , shipping to you will be via courier at no charge to you.
Order Error - Ordering Mistake By You
Where you have made an error on your order, it is your responsibility to immediately notify us BEFORE we attempt to ship/deliver the product to you. This is usually within a period of 24 (twenty four) hours for in-stock items and pre-ordered items, after you submitted and paid for your order.
If your order has already shipped to you or has been delivered to you, you can return it – provided the product is not:
- opened and taken out of its sealed original packaging with the original labels and stickers still attached;
- used in any manner or form;
- tampered with in any manner or form;
- a reel that has been pre-ordered; and/or
- a rod that has been pre-ordered.
If you have taken delivery of the erroneous order, in such circumstances, you are responsible to insure and ship the product to us via courier or post-net services as well as to provide us with a tracking number for such a shipment. Shipping and insurance costs for this, will be for your account.
Order error returns made by you, on pre-ordered reels and rods that you have take delivery off or is at a shipped from source stage of import arrival are not accepted.
For all other return requests; once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will within 10 (ten) days of the returned product reaching us and passing inspection -
- credit your account with the purchase price of the product (or refund you if that is your preference).
Not what you ordered
If we accidentally deliver the wrong product to you, please notify us and we will collect the product from you at no charge.
Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will at your choice deliver the correct product to you as soon as possible (if the correct product is available);
or credit your account with the purchase price of the product within 10 (ten) days of the return (or refund you if that is your preference).
Products damaged on delivery
It is your sole responsibility to thoroughly inspect your delivery before signing for acceptance of the delivery made to you.
Should a product be damaged or missing any parts or accessories at the time of delivery / collection, you must refuse collection and immediately notify us within 1 (one) day of such delivery / collection by logging a return on the Website.
We will arrange to collect the product from you or the delivery agency at no charge to you.
Once we have inspected the product and validated your return, we will at your choice repair / replace the product as soon as possible (if such repair is possible/ we have the same product in stock to use as a replacement) or credit your account with the purchase price of the product (or refund you if that is your preference).
Charges and Refunds
If you return a defective product or erroneous ordered product to us, but fail to return all of the accessories and parts that were sold with that product, we are entitled to (subject to applicable law) refuse the return.
If you return a product that does not comply with this Policy, you may be liable to reimburse Darksidetuning for the cost of collecting the product from you, where collection costs applies and the cost of having the product inspected and returned to you.
Darkside tuning does not reimburse shipping cost on returns passed inspection, only the purchase price value is reimbursed.
Important notice for pre-order products
Under no circumstances will pre-ordered reels and rods that have been delivered to you, be eligible for return with the reason of 'Order Error".
Refund/Returns Payments
Please note that we only refund to the payment method that you originally used – i.e. payment by credit card will be refunded to the same credit card, payment by EFT will be refunded to your nominated bank account.
Preparing your products for a return
To ensure your request is processed as quickly as possible you are responsible for the following when returning your products;
- package your products safely and securely for protection during transit;
- clearly mark your return reference number on the outside of the parcel; and
- include all accessories and parts that were sold with the product.
Failure to adhere to any of these requirements could delay the processing of your request or result in its decline altogether.
