Shipping and Delivery


This Shipping and Delivery Policy forms part of the Darksidetuning's Terms and Conditions, and so words defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in this Policy, unless the context indicates otherwise.

Our delivery charges are linked to our shipping provider partner rates and are subject to change at any time, without prior notice to you. Please check this Shipping and Delivery section of our site for the most up-to-date information regarding shipping and delivery.


Darksidetuning offers 5 (five) methods of delivery of Goods to you. You may elect delivery via:

  • courier (overnight); or
  • courier (economy); or
  • postnet; or
  • personal geo-area delivery; or
  • collection.

Applicable Shipping and Delivery Options

  • You will see the applicable delivery options together with applicable charges on your checkout screen, in the Shipping/Delivery section of the checkout screen;
  • The displayed shipping charges are geo-location calculated and indexed to our shipping fulfillment service providers.

Delivery Time Estimates

On shipping hand-over and notification that your order is shipped: - 

  • Postnet delivery services to major centers usually takes between 2 (two) to 3 (three) business days, outlying remote areas delivery is between 3 (three) to 5 (five) business days;
  • Overnight Couriers to major centers usually delivers the next business day, outlying remote areas delivery takes between 1 (one) to 2 (two) business days;
  • Economy Couriers to major centers usually delivers between 2 (two) to 4 (four) business days, outlying remote areas delivery takes between 3 (three) to 5 (five) business days;
  • When we accept your order, Darksidetuning will deliver the Goods to you as soon as reasonably possible, but no later than 30 (thirty) days of receipt of your payment (“Delivery Period”);
  • We will notify you if we are unable to deliver the Goods during the Delivery Period. You may then, within 7 (seven) days of receiving such notification elect whether or not to cancel your order for the Goods. If you elect to cancel your order, we will reimburse you for the purchase price;
  • Darksidetuning’s obligation to deliver a product to you is fulfilled when we deliver the product to the physical address nominated by you for delivery of the order;
  • Darksidetuning is not responsible for any loss of a product, after it has delivered the product to the physical address nominated by you.

    Please note, the quoted estimate periods above are estimates and cannot be guaranteed in any way, means or form.

Shipping Charges and Restrictions

Our online website employs a sophisticated shipping calculation engine, to determine shipping charges based on shipping algorithms.

  • Postnet flat rate nationwide shipping price of R99.00 are for packages not exceeding 5.0 Kgs;
  • Rods cannot be shipped via Postnet, it will be shipped separately via couriers. An additional Large Item charge may apply;
  • Courier charges for shipping overnight or economy are geo-location determined;
  • Personal Delivery Services are available for certain geo-locations, a flat rate of R99.00 is charged and can include Rods and other products in the order;
  • There is no charge for Self Service Collections;
  • Restrictions as per our shipping providers requirements regarding the transportation of dangerous good, also applies to all our shipping options offered.

Pre-Order Products Free Shipping and Charged Shipping

Darksidetuning offers products that can be purchased on a pre-order basis. Currently JDM Reels and JDM Rods are available for Pre-Order.

Pre-Ordered products will only ship when they arrive and are treated as a custom order.


Shipping to you for pre-ordered products are detailed as: -

  • Any JDM pre-ordered reel(s) will ship Free to you via economy courier to your physical address as specified in your original online order;
  • Any JDM pre-ordered rod(s) will ship Free via economy courier to your physical address as specified in your original online order;

Pre-Orders and Mixed Carts

When your shopping cart contains pre-ordered products and products that are available and in-stock; like lures and line and other items, shipping is calculated for the In-Stock products and displayed in your shipping options.


Please note: This shipping charge is NOT for the pre-order products that qualify for Free Shipping, those will still ship to you for Free when they arrive, as per the Pre-Order Products Free Shipping clause above. The shipping you see and are being charged for are for the products that are in-stock constituting a mixed cart if they are added to your shopping cart together with pre-ordered products. These charges are for immediate shipping of the non pre-ordered in-stock products only.
